BBC Scholarships & Grants

Most BBC scholarships are for prospective, full-time and transfer undergraduate students or unless specified below.

A valid FAFSA must be on file for each year prior to the FAFSA deadline before an account will be awarded any federal, some state and all institutional aid. If selected for the Verification process, you must have completed the process and have a verified FAFSA on file prior to being awarded financial aid.

Baptist Bible College reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of any scholarship at any time at its discretion, as well as suspend or terminate any scholarships.

 

Institutional (Enrollment) Scholarships and Grants

Note: These scholarships are for prospective first-time students to BBC only. Current students who did not receive this scholarship upon arrival to BBC are not eligible.

Early Deposit Award (First-time undergraduate students to BBC)

Eligibility:
This is a one-time award given to students who 1) complete FAFSA and all required enrollment documents and 2) pay their $200 deposit before the following dates:

  •  February 28th – $750 scholarship
    •  April 28th – $500 scholarship
    •  June 30th – $250 scholarship

BBC Grant (First-time undergraduate students to BBC)
These funds are given to students based upon the student’s affiliation to a supporting church, the student’s financial need, and the student’s high school GPA. Students who qualify can receive up to $1000 per year for four years.

Student Leadership Scholarship (First-time undergraduate students to BBC)
The student awarded must be chosen by their home church pastor on the basis of leadership potential and ministry involvement. The student must attend or be a member of a supporting church that contributes at least $1200 per year to BBC. A church will be eligible to award this scholarship on this basis, One (1) scholarship for every $1200 annually contributed to BBC. Students who qualify receive $2000 per year for four years.

Pastor and Missionary Family Scholarship (First-time undergraduate students to BBC)
This award is to be granted to the child of a BBC supporting church pastor (or full-time staff pastor) or BBFI missionary. A supporting church contributes at least $1200 per year to BBC. A student may not receive more than one Pastor and Missionary Family Scholarship. This award cannot be combined with Pastor Leadership Scholarship. Students who qualify can receive up to $4000 per year for four years.

Institutional (Current Student) Scholarships
Note: These scholarships are for continuing students at BBC only. Prospective, Incoming Students do not qualify for these scholarships.

BBC Traveling Team Scholarships

Award:. Amount varies based on travel team  

Eligibility:  

BBC offers current students the ability to audition for our Break Away worship band and Rec Teams.  These groups travel year round to different churches, camps, and retreats.

  • Must be enrolled for 12 hours or more and maintain a 2.50 GPA
  • Auditions are held every January to determine eligibility
  • There is a five step process in the selection of new teams.  Students will be evaluated by GPA, Dean’s evaluation, musical audition, character trait evaluation and personal interview
  • A one-year length of commitment is required (May-May)

R. A. Benefit Scholarship

Award:  Student receives a benefit of the amount of Room and Board for the Fall and Spring semesters of the applicable year.

Eligibility:  

Semester awards are made for this benefit.

  • Must be enrolled for 12 hours or more and maintain a 2.50 GPA
  • Must have a GPA 2.50 or above (if you do not know this information, check with the Admissions office).
  • AST grade-must have no more than one failing grade
  • Be at least 20 years of age (by Aug. 15)
  • Student must have attended BBC for one year or more
  • Student must have good financial standing with the college
  • A Good deportment record
  • If you meet all of the above requirements, you will need to have:
  • A completed RA application (available in the Office of Student Life)
  • A positive recommendation from:
  • Your RA
  • Your Faculty Advisor
  • Your Home Pastor or Youth Pastor
  • Your Local Pastor or College Director
  • Your Employer (if applicable)
