Campus Counselors
Baptist Bible College believes God’s Word adequately addresses the issues of life (2 Peter 1:3; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17); therefore, counseling services are provided to assist students to think through and apply appropriate Biblical principles to specific life situations. BBC recognizes that students often face increased challenges.
Taking the First Step
When a student faces a perplexing challenge in life, he/she may greatly profit from discussing this situation with his/her academic advisor or his/her dorm Resident Advisor (RA). Often these individuals can assist or direct the student. Staff and faculty (including our campus chaplain) are ready and willing to become involved as necessary in assistance in spiritual growth of students. As an added resource, students are welcome to contact our campus counselors directly. Taking that first step is often the most intimidating step.
Helpful Facts
It may be helpful for students to know our campus counselors have been involved in Biblical counseling for over 35 years. There is often a wide range of struggles that prompt students to seek guidance. Some of these struggles include depression, decision making, interpersonal relationship issues, sexual issues, cutting, helping a friend who struggles, and pre-engagement/pre-marriage counseling. On campus offices are located next to the student center in the student life area.
