The BBC Patriots defeated Central Christian College of the Bible Monday night 95-92 in Moberly, Missouri. It was the Patriots second come from behind victory in as many games following their defeat of Central Baptist College on a last second three pointer 77 to 74 in their last contest.
The Patriots found themselves down by 14 in the first half against CCCB. Some pressure defense enabled them to close the deficit to 2 by halftime. BBC would come out strong in the second half to take a 7 point lead. However, CCCB continued to fight and led by 3 with 9 seconds remaining. Sophomore Devon Matthews would hit a game tying 3 pointer with 2 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime, where the Patriots would hold on for a 95-92 victory. Matthews would finish with 18 points, all in the second half.
Freshman Jordan Epling led six players in double figures scoring for the Patriots. Matthews followed with 18, and Freshman Dakota Hall would add 13 hard earned points.
The Patriots (2-0) travel to Paragould, Arkansas for games against Crowley's Ridge College and Boyce College on Nov. 21 and 22 before returning home for a game against Southwestern College on Nov. 23rd at 2:00.
